Launch from the wrong beach and the Burj Al Arab is a shape on the horizon instead of a building you ride past.

Kite Beach and Umm Suqaym — The Landmark Launch
This is where our base sits: Umm Suqaym 2, Jumeirah.
It’s the same stretch of coast as Kite Beach, and the reason matters — the Burj Al Arab is directly offshore from here.

💡 Why this matters for short bookings: on a 20-minute ride, launch position is everything. From Umm Suqaym you’re photographing the Burj Al Arab while riders from further up the coast are still in transit.

The most built-up option, and it feels like it.

- 🚤 Busy water — boats, tour vessels, other riders
- ⏳ Burj Al Arab is a longer run from here
Who it suits
- ✅ You’re already staying in JBR or the Marina and don’t want to travel
- ✅ You want the skyscraper wall rather than the beach
- ❌ You want the Burj Al Arab as the main event
⚠️ Traffic on the water is real in the Marina channel. It’s a slower, more managed ride out before you get to open water.
Palm Jumeirah — The Atlantis Launch
- 🌴 Atlantis right there, which makes for the single most recognisable photo
- 🌊 Calmer water inside the crescent on windy days
- 🏨 Hotel-heavy — access often runs through resort beaches
- ⏳ Burj Al Arab and Marina both need open-water crossings
Good if Atlantis is the shot you came for. Less good as a base for seeing everything.

Three landmarks, one coastline, no long transits.

A guide rides alongside on a separate machine for the whole route and knows where the light works.
Practical Notes
- 🌅 Morning water is flatter everywhere on this coast — before 10:00 is best
- 🌬️ Afternoon wind builds chop, especially in open stretches between zones
- 👕 Bring swimwear, towel, sunscreen. Life jacket and water are provided
- ⏰ Arrive 10–15 minutes early for changing and the briefing

Kite Beach is a public swimming beach. Rentals operate from licensed points along the Umm Suqaym stretch — including ours at Umm Suqaym 2.
Is JBR or Jumeirah better?
Jumeirah for landmarks, JBR for convenience if you’re staying there. The riding is good from both.
How far is the Burj Al Arab from your base?
Minutes on the water. It’s the first thing you reach.
